Bulgarian police have arrested a man in the city of Tomsk who allegedly helped set up a gang of illegal immigrants to kill people.
The police, who are investigating the case, said they have detained a 27-year-old man in connection with the murder of five people.
Police say the man allegedly had links to a criminal gang that was active in the capital, Sofia, and other cities in the country’s south.
Bulgarian authorities say there are around 4,000 criminal gangs operating in the southern region.
They say they are responsible for the killing of more than 20,000 people in recent years.
