Bulgarians are set to be able to buy a diamond ring as soon as this week.
The Bulgarian Diamond Corporation (BCC) said on Friday that it had secured the contract to make the ring for the Bulgarian president and prime minister.
President and prime minster of Bulgaria Nikita Karamov and his wife Alyona are expected to unveil the diamond ring on January 10.
The ribbon and the gold star are attached to a ring which is made of Bulgarian Diamond, a material made by the countrys natural resources.
Bulgaria, which is known for its diamonds, has become a global diamond market, thanks to its proximity to Europe and the world’s top diamond producers.
In 2015, Bulgaria became the first country to mine and mine-produce the worlds highest-quality gemstone.
The diamond ring will mark the first time a foreign head of state is expected to wear a Bulgarian diamond ring.
The ring, which will be made of pure gold, will be the first of its kind in the world, BCC said.
The first Bulgarian president to wear the ring is former President Gabor Vona, who wore it in 2009 when he was president of Bulgaria.
The president of the Republic of Bulgaria, Gabor Tsipras, will wear the diamond while in office, and in 2022, he will wear it in the Bundestag, the highest legislative body in the country.
